: Adamantan-2-ol-6-one was used in the preparation and SAR studies of polycyclic acids as potent and selective inhibitors of human 11β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1, the enzyme that catalyze the conversion of Cortisone to active cortisol.
